Montessori head teacher

Delight Montessori is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Montessori Head Teacher to lead our classroom and inspire young learners. We believe that every child deserves an education that nurtures curiosity, independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our educational approach combines the best of Montessori philosophy with a blended, academically enriched curriculum, particularly for kindergarten students transitioning toward a more structured elementary learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a Montessori classroom with children of mixed ages and developmental levels.
• Implement Montessori principles and hands-on learning experiences that promote independence, responsibility, and critical thinking.
• Deliver a blended educational program for kindergarten students, combining Montessori materials and methods with structured academic instruction.
• Prepare and maintain an organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning abilities.
• Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
• Observe, assess, and document student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
• Foster a positive classroom culture built on respect, kindness, collaboration, and self-discipline.
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and school leadership to maintain high educational standards.

Qualifications

• Montessori certification is required, preferably in Early Childhood and/or Primary Education.
• Previous experience as a Montessori classroom teacher or Head Teacher is required.
• Demonstrated experience working with mixed-age groups.
• Experience teaching kindergarten students using a blended Montessori and traditional academic approach is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to each child's individual growth.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with families.
• Valid U.S. work authorization is required. Applicants must have valid authorization to work in the United States.
• Fingerprinting and background clearance are required as part of the school's hiring and child-safety procedures.

Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
