Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Montessori-based curriculum tailored to elementary students, ensuring alignment with educational standards and developmental needs.
• Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate differentiated instruction to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
• Monitor student progress through regular assessments, analyzing performance data to inform instruction and support individual growth.
• Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management strategies that promote respect, responsibility, and collaboration.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, specialists, and administrators to coordinate curriculum implementation, share best practices, and enhance student outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development, progress reports, and classroom activities to build strong partnerships.
• Integrate educational technology tools to enrich learning experiences and support literacy education, math skills, and early childhood development.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to assistant teachers or interns while maintaining compliance with educational regulations and standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to Montessori pedagogy, special education needs—including working with children with autism—and innovative teaching methodologies.

Experience

• Proven classroom experience in elementary school teaching, preferably within a Montessori or similar child-centered setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and curriculum implementation across core subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies.
• Experience working with young children with diverse needs including special education populations or early intervention programs.
• Strong background in classroom management techniques that foster an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, student performance data analysis, and progress monitoring tools.
• Skilled in working collaboratively with colleagues through teacher collaboration initiatives while maintaining clear communication skills for parent-teacher interactions.
• Knowledge of educational technology integration—such as learning management systems or digital resources—to enhance instructional delivery.
• Prior experience working in private schools or early childhood education settings is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for lifelong learning is essential.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
