Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Montessori Assistant and Substitute Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with lesson implementation, and provide flexible coverage across 2 school locations, Lancaster and Northborough. Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in implementing Montessori curriculum and lesson plans tailored to early childhood development standards
• Assist with classroom management, behavior guidance, and creating an engaging learning environment
• Provide coverage as a substitute teacher in various classrooms, ensuring continuity of instruction and care
• Help facilitate literacy, math, and early childhood education activities that promote cognitive and social-emotional development
• Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and staff to support student progress and classroom needs
• Support individualized learning plans, especially for children with special needs or disabilities such as autism or other developmental challenges
• Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and maintaining a safe, clean environment

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or preschool environments
• Knowledge of Montessori methods and early childhood curriculum development preferred
• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers and students
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments as a substitute teacher

Pay: $25.00 - $25.10 per hour

Expected hours: 3.0 – 12.0 per week
