Monrovia Preschool English Teacher

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Your primary duties include, but are not limited to:
• To be available as an “on-call” substitute / floater and be flexible with schedule and job assignment as needed.
• To take responsibility in arriving to work at the scheduled time and also be flexible in changing hours as needed.
• Clocking in /out using the appropriate Brightwheel tablet (or documenting time if computer is not working).
• To follow lesson plans and curriculum activities schedule for that day by the Lead Teacher.
• To always maintain State Licensed ratio and all other licensing procedures.
• To monitor and supervise children at all times both indoor and outdoor.
• To maintain/document “headcount sheets’ and “attendance roster” on a daily basis.
• To establish proper and professional communication and relationships with other staff members, and parents,
• To maintain proper “age appropriate” interactions with children at all times.
• To be in compliance with Tzu Chi dress code policy and uphold Tzu Chi philosophy.
• It is mandatory to attend all Tzu Chi meetings and trainings consistently.
• Maintain required “CPR”, “Sexual Harassment training”, “Food Handlers” permits, and Mandated Reporter training.
• Give teachers prep time / breaks as scheduled and maintain related documentation.
• Work with the Lead teachers as a team to implement Tzu Chi Curriculum and assist as needed.
• To be aware of the health and safety guidelines in the classroom and complete student injury reports as needed.
• To maintain confidentiality of the information regarding the progress of the children and Tzu Chi related information.
• Light kitchen duties as needed (cleaning, delivering lunches, cleaning kitchen, and sanitizing toys as needed).
• Maintain all required immunizations – including but not limited to MMR and Whooping Cough.
• To perform any and all additional duties as assigned.
• To inform the Director by 6:00 am of the employee is sick and will not be able to attend work.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 12 ECE core units, finger print/Background Clearance

EDUCATION: BA preferred but not required Major: Early Childhood Education

EXPERIENCE: 2 or more year job experience in early Childhood Education (2-5yr olds)

Hours: Various hours range from 8:30am-5:30 or 8:55-6:00

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
