Sonrise Christian Preschool is seeking a loving, dependable, and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher for our one-year-old classroom. We are a small, Christ-centered preschool dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment where every child is known, loved, and inspired.

Our toddler classroom maintains a 1:5 teacher-to-child ratio, allowing teachers to provide individualized attention and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities using our Frog Street curriculum.
• Support developmental milestones, including language, social-emotional, and motor skills.
• Maintain active supervision and follow all Pinellas County Licensing Board (PCLB) requirements.
• Communicate professionally with parents and preschool administration.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and follow daily routines.
• Incorporate Christian values into everyday classroom experiences.

Qualifications

• Must meet all PCLB and Florida DCF requirements for working as a lead teacher in a one-year-old classroom.
• Completion of required DCF child care training, including applicable infant and toddler training.
• Current background screening clearance and eligibility to work in a licensed child care facility.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Previous experience working with infants or toddlers preferred.
• CDA, Early Childhood Education credentials, or equivalent qualifications preferred.
• Must be patient, nurturing, dependable, and able to work collaboratively with other staff members.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
