Duties

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on toddler care, literacy education, physical activity, and social-emotional growth.
• Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, exploration, and learning through play.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and classroom organization to create a safe and engaging environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster collaborative relationships.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards while maintaining accurate documentation of child development milestones.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to uphold high-quality childcare standards.
• Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse needs.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, specifically with toddlers aged 1-3 years old.
• Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
• Experience implementing literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and standardized testing where applicable.
• Familiarity with early childhood education best practices, including behavior management and child welfare protocols.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in special education or early intervention are a plus.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Previous experience leading classrooms in private schools or daycare centers is highly desirable.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
