Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers, fostering their growth and curiosity. As a leader in the classroom, you will guide and mentor assistant teachers, implement innovative curriculum strategies, and build strong relationships with families. Your passion for early childhood education and expertise in toddler care will inspire young learners to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Duties

• Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, physical activity, and social-emotional development tailored to toddlers’ needs.
• Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of classroom management and behavior management.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on children’s progress, address concerns, and foster collaborative relationships.
• Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certification requirements.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of child development using standardized testing methods to inform instruction and support early intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with specialists in special education or childhood development to support children with diverse needs or those requiring additional support services.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, specifically with toddlers.
• Strong background in early childhood education principles, including child development instruction and classroom management techniques.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities that foster literacy skills such as reading readiness.
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies suitable for young children to promote positive behavior and social skills.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential.
• Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly desirable.
• Ability to lead a team confidently while maintaining a lively, positive classroom atmosphere that supports each child's growth journey.

Pay: $39,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
