Lead Teacher/Assistant Teacher - Toddler Program

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead Teacher/Assistant Teacher in our 2's Program - Part-time

Lead Teachers at LAC Preschool are responsible for:

• Planning and executing of a developmentally appropriate program for pre-school children, documentation of learning experiences, assessment of children.
• Meeting the needs of the group as well as those of the individual child.
• Observing, identifying and responding to the needs of the children.
• Helping each child develop a positive-self-image.
• Communicating appropriately with children, using intentional language.
• Communicating with parents/families and creating positive relationships.
• Using a positive approach to behavior guidance.

Assistant Teachers are responsible for assisting the teacher with:

• Preparation of the classroom environment.
• Classroom management and supervision of the children
• Fostering positive interactions and learning experiences for the children.
• Documentation and making observations

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
