Position Overview Lead Teacher:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our close-knit, friendly team. In this role, you will work directly with our children (ages 6 weeks to 12 years), providing a safe and stimulating space for them to explore, learn, and grow. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a collaborative and family-like environment and is excited to contribute to a positive, supportive culture where both children and staff feel valued.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities to support children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development.
• Foster a safe, loving, and positive classroom environment that promotes security and well-being.
• Observe and document children’s progress, creating a personalized approach to their learning.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families.
• Work closely with fellow teachers and staff in a team-oriented environment to maintain a positive, friendly atmosphere throughout the center.
• Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and equipped with learning materials.
• Adhere to health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Child Development Associate credential AND 2 years work experience related to caring for young children
• Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices.
• A patient, creative, and energetic approach to teaching young children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
