Lead Teacher

Overview
Here at Kids X-Cel Center we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of preschool and toddler-aged children, ensuring their growth and development through engaging activities and individualized attention.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians regarding their development.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging social skills, emotional growth, and independence.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience across the curriculum.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic progress.
• Ensure compliance with the Department of Human Services
• Support children with special needs by adapting lessons to meet diverse learning requirements.

Requirements

• Associates Degree or a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children or toddlers in childcare settings.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early learning frameworks.
• CPR and First Aide Certified
• Experience in special education or working with children with diverse needs is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
