Lead Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to join our educational team, dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for young children. The Lead Teacher will play a pivotal role in designing engaging curricula, supporting students with diverse needs, and collaborating with families and professionals to promote optimal development. Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating educational technology and innovative teaching strategies.
• Provide individualized support for students with disabilities, including those with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders, ensuring tailored instructional modifications.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and behavioral therapy strategies to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Conduct assessments such as standardized testing and progress monitoring to evaluate student development and inform instruction.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians through parent-teacher conferences, progress reports, and digital communication platforms to foster strong partnerships.
• Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support students’ holistic development and implement IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, behavior plans, and compliance with special education law requirements.

Experience

• Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or elementary school teaching, preferably within private or Montessori settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in special education practices, including curriculum development for students with disabilities and experience working with children on the autism spectrum or with developmental delays.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and early intervention techniques.
• Skilled in classroom management, behavior management for students with special needs, and implementing instructional modifications based on individual IEPs.
• Experience integrating educational technology tools into lesson planning to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with special education law, standardized testing procedures, tutoring strategies, and library services related to early childhood education.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
