Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Education (EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

• Experience as a Lead Teacher required.
• Must meet Illinois DCFS Lead Teacher qualifications.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) preferred, or qualifying college coursework/credentials in Early Childhood Education.
• Gateways to Opportunity credentials .
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Must complete and pass all required DCFS background checks.
• Knowledge of DCFS licensing standards and childcare safety requirements.
• Ability to develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to maintain a safe, organized, positive learning environment.
• Ability to supervise and work collaboratively with assistant teachers and other staff.
• Strong communication skills with children, parents, and coworkers.
• Dependable, punctual, professional, patient, and caring.
• Ability to maintain required classroom documentation, attendance records, incident reports, and developmental observations.
• Must be able to perform the physical responsibilities associated with caring for young children, including sitting on the floor, bending, lifting, and assisting children as needed.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
