Two-year-olds are learning to say "I can do it!" - and we're looking for a Lead Teacher who loves helping them discover just how much they can do.
The Learning Experience - Jenison is seeking an experienced Lead Teacher for our 2-Year-Old classroom. You'll create a positive environment where children can build language, independence, friendships, and confidence while learning through hands-on exploration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom routines and learning experiences
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Engage children through art, sensory play, music, movement, stories, language, and imaginative play
- Encourage communication, independence, and self-help skills
- Support children's social-emotional development and peer interactions
- Use positive guidance and consistent classroom expectations
- Support toileting, diapering, meals, rest time, and daily routines
- Observe and document children's developmental progress
- Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
- Build strong relationships with children and families
- Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous professional childcare or early childhood classroom experience required
- Experience with toddlers or 2-year-olds strongly preferred
- CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or other qualifying credential preferred
- Must meet Michigan requirements to serve as a Lead Caregiver
- Patient, positive, energetic, and confident leading a classroom
