Lead School Age Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our educational team, supporting children with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong classroom management skills, expertise in early childhood education, and experience working with children with disabilities, including autism and developmental delays. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and collaborating with families and support staff to foster a positive learning environment. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula aligned with educational standards and individual student needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and sensory activities.
• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate learning technology, speech therapy, behavioral therapy, and other specialized interventions as needed.
• Support children with autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs by adapting instructional methods and utilizing IEP goals.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instruction.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support comprehensive child development.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, IEPs, and behavioral reports.
• Foster a nurturing environment that promotes social-emotional growth, childhood development, and child welfare.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations for daycare, preschool programs, or private schools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in early childhood education or preschool settings; prior experience in special education or working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a structured yet flexible learning environment.
• Knowledge of curriculum development across various subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
• Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or in early intervention programs.
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation processes.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and support teams.
• Ability to utilize learning technology effectively within the classroom setting.
• Childcare experience including toddler care or daycare environments is preferred.
• Certification or training in behavioral health or behavioral therapy is a plus.
