Lead Preschool Teacher

Chapel Hill Preschool is passionate about expanding young minds in a Christ-centered, developmentally appropriate educational setting. We are currently hiring a Lead Teacher for the 2023-24 school year who is an energetic, positive person that can have fun while teaching.

Job Description includes, but is not limited to:

• Inspiring and motivating students to learn and grow, both socially and academically, in an engaging learning environment
• Writing and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Preparing materials for the school day
• Teaching students in small and large groups
• Using effective communication skills with students and parents
• Assessing students on age appropriate skills and conveying the results to parents
• Enforcing safety of students and a respect for others
• Supervising an Assistant Teacher
• Maintaining a smooth flow in daily classroom activities
• Adhering to KDHE and Safe Gathering Guidelines
• Teaching Bible stories to students

Candidate must have experience teaching in a licensed center or preschool.

We are most interested in Lead Teachers who:

• Meet Kansas Department of Health and Environment’s required classes which include Health and Safety training Module 1 offered by KCCTO.org, Health Assessment & TB skin test, KBI background check and certified in Pediatric First Aid and CPR
• Have a Child Development Associate Credential, an Associates of Art Degree or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related academic field is preferred, but not required.

Position Type:

• Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
• Position follows school year calendar: August through May
• Part-time position with no benefits
• Starting salary based on experience
