Overview

We are seeking a caring and passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to join our full-day development classrooms for children ages 3 to 5. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, support early childhood development, and create a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and growth. Your expertise will help shape young minds and foster a love of learning in a vibrant setting.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to preschoolers’ developmental stages, including literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills
• Lead daily classroom activities that promote independent learning, fine motor skills, and social interactions using age-appropriate teaching strategies
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections
• Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and practicing first aid and CPR when necessary
• Collaborate with team members to plan field trips and outdoor activities that enhance experiential learning
• Support children with special needs through individualized instruction and early intervention strategies

Experience

• Proven experience working with children aged 3 to 5 in a preschool or daycare setting
• Strong background in curriculum development, classroom management, and child development instruction
• Knowledge of special education principles, early intervention techniques, and childhood welfare practices
• Experience creating engaging play-based learning activities
• Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and health & safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification
• Prior classroom experience with toddlers or preschoolers is highly preferred

Pay: $15.88 - $20.75 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
