Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of PreK2 children, incorporating literacy education, math, and early childhood education principles.
• Lead daily classroom activities that promote social-emotional growth, behavior management, and positive classroom management strategies.
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment that supports toddler care, preschool experience, and early intervention strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to ensure a strong partnership.
• Manage classroom routines efficiently, including lesson planning, child development instruction, and standardized testing preparations when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards while maintaining high standards of childcare and classroom experience.
• Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to uphold quality teaching practices aligned with early childhood education methodologies.

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children in preschool or toddler care settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
• Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education alongside math instruction for young learners.
• Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies tailored for diverse learners.
• Familiarity with childhood development principles, standardized testing procedures, or similar educational approaches.
• Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration; ability to foster positive relationships with children and families.
• Certification in first aid and CPR; understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare.
• Strong background in early childhood education with experience in preschool teaching environments; familiarity with toddler care practices is a plus.
