Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team.The In this dynamic role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and implement developmentally appropriate curricula tailored specifically for infants and toddlers. As a leader in the classroom, you will collaborate with families, support team members, and uphold high standards of early childhood education to create a positive and enriching experience for every child.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early literacy, math skills, social-emotional development, and physical activity based on child development principles.
• Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers.
• Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and consistency.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong partnerships.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or staff members to ensure high-quality care and educational standards are maintained.
• Adhere to all mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations such as first aid and CPR requirements.
• Collaborate with specialists in special education or early intervention when necessary to support children with diverse needs.
• Maintain detailed records of child development milestones, attendance, behavior management strategies, and lesson plans.
• Incorporate curriculum development techniques that include Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences.
• Support classroom management by implementing behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation.

Experience

• Proven teaching experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development focused on childhood development stages for infants and toddlers.
• Experience managing classrooms with diverse learners including children requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Knowledge of childhood development theories, standardized testing methods for early learners, and preschool teaching best practices.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification.
• Prior experience working in Montessori or other specialized educational environments is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.

Pay: $9.00 - $9.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
