  • Talk, sing, read, and interact with infants throughout the day to encourage early communication and language development.
  • Follow safe sleep practices and all required health, safety, sanitation, feeding, and diapering procedures.
  • Monitor and respond to each infant's individual cues, needs, comfort levels, and developmental progress.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports documenting bottles, food intake, diaper changes, naps, activities, and developmental observations.
  • Communicate professionally and consistently with families about their child's daily experiences, routines, milestones, and overall well-being.
  • Partner with families to maintain consistency between home and the classroom whenever possible.
  • Keep the classroom clean, organized, sanitized, and appropriately prepared for infant care and exploration.
  • Ensure toys, equipment, and learning materials are age-appropriate, safe, and in good condition.
  • Complete lesson plans, observations, assessments, attendance, and other required classroom documentation accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with center leadership and fellow teachers to provide consistent, high-quality infant care.
  • Follow all applicable Florida childcare licensing requirements, safe sleep guidelines, health and safety standards, and center policies and procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required training.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Understands the importance of following individualized feeding, diapering, and sleeping routines while maintaining safe practices.
  • Is dependable, responsible, organized, and professional.
  • Has strong communication skills and enjoys building positive relationships with families.
  • Can recognize and respond appropriately to infants' cues, including hunger, tiredness, discomfort, and overstimulation.
  • Works well as part of a team and is willing to support fellow teachers when needed.
  • Is flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced childcare environment.
  • Takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
