Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Teacher for our Group Childcare program. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a nurturing environment that supports each child's developmental journey. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young learners and collaborate closely with families to ensure a positive educational experience.

Duties

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and social skills among children.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid and CPR procedures, mandated reporting laws, and child welfare policies.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain a cohesive team environment.
• Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and classroom activities for compliance and reporting purposes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings; classroom management skills are essential.
• Knowledge of curriculum development, childhood development principles, special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education.
• Demonstrated ability to teach physical education and incorporate movement into daily routines.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
• Certification in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is required.
• Experience with toddler care, preschool teaching, daycare environments, or private school settings is preferred.
• A background in math instruction or childhood development is advantageous.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
