Make a Difference at Precious Time
At Precious Time, our teachers are at the heart of what we do. We're a family-centered early learning community committed to helping children thrive while supporting the educators who care for them.
We're currently looking for two dependable, caring educators to join our team in Richmond:
Lead Teacher – Toddler & Preschool
Full-Time | 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
Before & After School Care Teacher – School-Age
Monday–Friday | 6:30–9:30 AM & 2:00–6:00 PM
This is a firm split-shift schedule.
Join a team bringing learning to life through programs such as Mindology Fitness, STEAM, and our Inclusion Program.
What We Offer
Pay: $14.00–$17.00/hour, based on experience and qualifications
Lead Teacher
Our Lead Teacher builds meaningful relationships with children and families while creating a safe, engaging classroom environment.
You'll help lead daily activities, lesson plans and assessments; provide nurturing, developmentally appropriate care; support diapering and potty training; and maintain a clean, organized classroom.
We're looking for someone who is dependable, patient, communicative, and comfortable taking an active role in the classroom.
Before & After School Care Teacher
This position supports our school-age children before and after the school day.
You'll supervise and engage children, assist with homework, snacks and structured activities, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
This position also serves as a backup driver for school drop-off and pick-up routes as needed. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be available for the full split shift each weekday.
Because school-age children may attend Precious Time for the full day when public schools are closed, full-day availability is also required on designated school closure days, including teacher workdays, school breaks, and weather-related closures.
What We're Looking For
All candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be willing to complete required childcare training. Previous childcare experience is preferred.
For the Lead Teacher position, candidates must also meet Virginia's Program Leader qualification requirements through an approved combination of education, credentialing, and/or supervised childcare experience. A CDA, child-related degree or coursework, Montessori credential, or qualifying supervised program experience may help satisfy these requirements.
For the Before & After School Care Teacher position, a valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to complete applicable passenger/van safety training.
Current CPR/First Aid certification is strongly preferred; training support may be available for candidates who need to obtain certification.

If you're dependable, enjoy working with children, and want to be part of a team where your work makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
