Duties

• Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of children, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills
• Lead classroom activities that promote active learning, creativity, and positive behavior management
• Support children’s growth through individualized instruction in child development and early intervention strategies
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment by applying effective classroom management techniques
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards
• Assist in conducting assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instruction
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate childhood development best practices and inclusive teaching methods

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or toddler care
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques
• Experience with special education needs and early intervention programs is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in childhood development is preferred
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare policies, and behavior management strategies
• Ability to plan lessons that integrate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of young children and their families

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
