Lead and Assistant Teacher

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and physical development in young children
• Lead classroom activities that support child development instruction and foster a positive learning environment
• Support children’s early intervention needs by adapting teaching strategies for diverse learning styles and abilities, including special education needs
• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and incidents
• Assist in lesson planning, assessment administration (including standardized testing), and tutoring to reinforce learning objectives

Skills

• Strong experience working with children across various age groups, especially preschoolers and toddlers
• Expertise in curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards and child development principles
• Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention strategies, and childhood welfare policies
• Proficiency in classroom management techniques that promote a safe, inclusive environment conducive to learning
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators
• Ability to implement child care best practices including first aid and CPR certification
• Experience teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, or tutoring young learners is highly desirable
