Infant/Toddler Teacher

We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, experience working with toddlers, and a genuine passion for helping young children learn and grow. This position requires an individual who can confidently lead a toddler classroom while creating a nurturing, structured, and engaging environment that supports each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.

Responsibilities

• Lead a toddler classroom serving children approximately 12 to 24 months of age.
• Create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Provide a warm, nurturing, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Encourage independence, exploration, language development, socialization, and age-appropriate learning through play and hands-on activities.
• Provide individualized attention based on each child’s developmental level, personality, and needs.
• Observe and monitor children’s development and document progress and developmental milestones.
• Establish consistent classroom routines and age-appropriate expectations.
• Communicate professionally and regularly with parents regarding their child’s day, development, progress, and classroom experiences.
• Work collaboratively with assistant teachers, administration, and other staff members to provide a consistent and positive educational experience.
• Provide guidance and direction to classroom staff while promoting teamwork and professionalism.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and inviting classroom environment.
• Follow all school policies and applicable health, safety, and childcare regulations.
• Participate in school events, staff meetings, professional development, and other school activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field is required.
• Previous experience working with toddlers in a daycare, preschool, Montessori, or other early childhood setting is required.
• Experience as a Lead Teacher or managing a classroom is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Montessori experience or familiarity with Montessori philosophy is a plus but not required.
• First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally and positively with children, parents, coworkers, and administration.
• Must be dependable, patient, nurturing, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to create an engaging classroom environment that encourages learning, independence, and exploration.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
