Infant/Toddler Teacher

Overview

We are seeking an experienced infant/toddler teacher to join our team. This Monday–Friday position runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and includes a one-hour break.

As an infant/toddler teacher, you will work alongside a co-teacher to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. Your nurturing approach will foster curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth, build a love of learning from the start, and support families throughout their caregiving journey.

Duties

• Care & Safety: Providing routine care (diapering, feeding, napping) and ensuring a hygienic, secure environment.
• Developmental Support: Planning activities that build language, motor skills, social-emotional growth, and independence.
• Observation & Responsiveness: Tuning into each child's cues, needs, and interests to offer personalized learning.
• Relationship Building: Fostering trust with infants and forming strong, communicative partnerships with families.
• Curriculum Implementation: Following educational goals and frameworks (like Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards) through play-based learning.

Skills

• Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar early childhood settings
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement
• Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response to emergencies
• Ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or additional support for disabilities
• Excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with children and families
• Knowledge of early childhood education best practices, care-giving techniques, and behavior management strategies

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
