Infant/Toddler Montessori Guide

Alphabets Montessori School is seeking a passionate and qualified Lead Montessori Guide/Teacher for our Infant/Toddler classroom (18m - 24m). The Guide will create a prepared Montessori environment that supports a social, emotional, and academic development of children ages (18m - 24m) while meeting Maryland child care licensing standards.

Responsibilities:
1. Implement an authentic Montessori curriculum for children (18m - 24m).
2. Prepare and maintain a structured, engaging Montessori classroom environment.
3. Observe, document, assess each child's development progress.
4. Guide children's behavior using positive guidance and Montessori principles.
5. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom support staff.
6. Maintain consistent communication with families regarding student progress.
7. Ensure, health, safety, and supervision standards are met at all times.
8. Complete progress reports, excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements for Lead Guide/Teacher:
AMS/AMI certification for (infant/toddler)
45 hrs. Child Growth and Development
45 hrs. infant/toddler Certificate (6wk - 24m)
Minimum one year experience working with infants/toddlers in a Montessori school or a licensed childcare facility or 30 college credits.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development or related field (preferred).
