Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans tailored to infants and toddlers, incorporating early literacy, motor skills, and social-emotional learning strategies
• Provide attentive toddler care by monitoring health, safety, nutrition, and hygiene needs in compliance with childcare standards
• Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and self-regulation among children
• Facilitate child development instruction by observing progress, documenting milestones, and adjusting teaching methods accordingly
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, developmental achievements, and any concerns through meetings or written updates
• Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare or safety issues
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and physical activity

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, especially with infants and toddlers
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in preschool teaching
• Proficiency in curriculum development tailored to early literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and sensory activities for young children
• Skilled in classroom management techniques that foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
• Experience with special education needs and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety compliance
• First aid and CPR certification to ensure immediate response during emergencies
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early childhood assessment when applicable
• Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lesson plans that incorporate child-centered activities across developmental domains
