Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of infants and toddlers
• Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and playtime to ensure comfort and safety
• Engage children through interactive play, storytelling, music, and sensory activities that stimulate learning and exploration
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns
• Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and well-being are prioritized at all times
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and addressing minor behavioral issues with guidance from lead teachers
• Assist with documentation of developmental milestones and daily observations to inform individualized care plans

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly desirable
• Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles
• Hands-on experience with infant and toddler care routines such as feeding, diapering, and sleep schedules
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies for young children
• Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is preferred but not required; training can be provided if necessary
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within a classroom setting
