Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development for infants and toddlers
• Support child supervision by ensuring safety and well-being at all times, following established classroom management and behavior management practices
• Help with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap time, and outdoor play to create a consistent and comforting environment
• Engage children in developmental play, encouraging exploration and learning through hands-on activities
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards including pediatric first aid and CPR protocols
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute educational programs aligned with childhood development principles

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of infant care, toddler care, early childhood education, and classroom management techniques
• Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required; pediatric first aid training is a plus
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention
• Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the classroom environment
• Ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or additional behavioral support
• Experience working with children with disabilities or in inclusive classrooms is advantageous

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
