Infant & Toddler Assistant Teacher

The Barrington School of Jerome is a new, premium early childhood center in Jerome Village (Plain City). Ten age-specific classrooms, an indoor gross-motor room, two secure play yards, a full kitchen serving organic, balanced meals, and a real staff break room. We strive to run low ratios.

We're hiring full-time and part-time Assistant Teachers for our infant and toddler rooms. You'll partner with a Lead Teacher in a room.

What you'll do:

• Provide warm, responsive care: feeding, bottles, diapering, naps, and comforting
• Follow each child's individual schedule and the family's notes
• Support the Lead Teacher with activities, tummy time, sensory play, and outdoor time
• Keep the room clean, sanitized, and safe; complete daily sheets and logs
• Share moments with families through our parent app
• Follow Ohio licensing, safe-sleep, and supervision procedures

What we're looking for:

• Genuinely loves babies and toddlers; calm and patient
• Infant or toddler experience preferred; we'll train the right person
• Reliable and on time. Infants need the same faces every day
• Able to lift 40 lbs and get down on the floor with children
• 18+ with a high school diploma or GED; able to pass an Ohio BCI/FBI background check
• CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain (we pay for it)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, consistent 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, or part-time mid-day, Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-3:30 PM. Both require every scheduled weekday, including Mondays and Fridays.
