Discovery Schoolhouse is looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Infant Teacher to join our team in Katy, Texas!

We’re looking for someone who understands that infant care is about more than meeting daily needs. It’s about building trust, encouraging early development, and helping every child feel safe, loved, and supported.

What You’ll Do

Create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment for infants.

Build meaningful relationships with children and their families.

Support early development through tummy time, sensory play, music, reading, and age-appropriate activities.

Provide attentive daily care, including feeding, diapering, naps, and hygiene.

Follow safe sleep practices and all applicable childcare safety guidelines.

Communicate with parents about daily routines, developmental milestones, and special moments.

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.

Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to provide excellent care.

What We’re Looking For

A genuine love for infants and early childhood education.

A patient, nurturing, positive, and dependable personality.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to meet Texas childcare licensing, background check, and training requirements.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to safely lift, carry, and care for infants throughout the day.

Preferred but not required:

At least one year of experience in childcare or early childhood education.

Experience working specifically with infants.

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or related early childhood education training.

Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Compensation & Benefits

$12–$15 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
