Calvary Childcare Center is a NAEYC-accredited, faith-based program in Golden Valley, Minn. We are looking for the right person to join our team of creative, passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators. Our Infant room is a joyous, cozy, well equipped place for Infants to learn and grow in low adult:child ratios.. We believe that quality care for infants involves loving care routines, developmentally appropriate activities, and trusting relationships with parents/other caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to children ages 12 weeks to 16 months.
• Work with classroom teachers in the daily running of the classroom. This includes care routines, parent communication, and thoughtful activities & experiences,
• Be flexible to accommodate daily schedule changes.
• Supervise classroom aides.
• Foster relationships and communication with children, families and staff.
• Be a Christian role model for children, parents and other staff.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2-year degree in Early Childhood or related field
• Meet DHS staff qualifications and training requirements
• Attend Staff meetings, training sessions and family events
• Maintain a neat and clean physical appearance.
• Able to see, hear, think and move quickly to supervise children safely
• Able to lift and carry children (maximum of 40 pounds).

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of their job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and speak and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
