Infant Teacher

Duties

• Provide attentive supervision and care for infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences
• Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures
• Support children with special needs by adapting activities and collaborating with specialists as needed
• Manage classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions smoothly and efficiently

Requirements

• Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or obtainable upon hire
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating patience, compassion, and professionalism
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus but not mandatory
