Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that align with early childhood standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Facilitate engaging classroom activities that promote child development, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections.
• Conduct child assessments using standardized testing methods and document developmental progress for individual planning.
• Support children with special needs through tailored instruction, early intervention techniques, and collaboration with specialists.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certification requirements.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles, childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques.
• Experience developing curriculum content across various domains including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Familiarity with special education strategies, early intervention programs, and behavior management approaches.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children from diverse backgrounds.
• Classroom experience in preschool or private school environments is advantageous.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early childhood education are a plus.
