Infant Assistant Teacher

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development for infants
• Support daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and playtime with patience and care
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Engage with children through interactive play, storytelling, singing, and other nurturing interactions to foster social and emotional skills
• Observe and document developmental milestones and behaviors to inform individualized learning plans
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent caregiving practices and effective classroom management
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and needs

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or caregiving roles
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for infant care
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, compassion, and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Flexibility to adapt to changing routines and individual child needs

Pay: $18.40 - $19.00 per hour

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Professional Daycare Setting: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Child Development Associate Certification (Required)
• CPR Certification (Required)
• First Aid Certification (Required)
• SIDS Certification (Required)
