Position Overview

We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and engaging Head Toddler Teacher to lead a classroom of children ages 18 months to 3 years. This role is responsible for creating a safe, responsive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports children’s social-emotional growth, independence, and early learning.

The ideal candidate is patient, emotionally aware, and confident in guiding toddler behavior using positive, respectful strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily routines
• Foster a warm, responsive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support children’s social-emotional development and self-regulation
• Use positive guidance strategies to manage behavior and conflict
• Ensure active supervision and maintain a safe classroom at all times
• Communicate effectively with families regarding children’s progress and needs
• Collaborate with assistant teachers and leadership to maintain a cohesive team environment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom space
• Complete required documentation and observations as needed

Qualifications

• Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• OR
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
• Experience working with toddlers (18 months–3 years) preferred
• Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Schedule
• Hourly rate based on education and experience
