SEMCAC Head Start is seeking a passionate and dedicated Head Start Teacher to provide high-quality early childhood education and support to children and families in our community. This position plays a vital role in preparing children for school success by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that promotes growth in all areas of development.

What You'll Do

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities and curriculum.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
• Partner with families to support children's learning and well-being.
• Collaborate with staff and community partners to connect families with resources and services.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with Head Start Performance Standards and program requirements.
• Encourage school readiness through hands-on learning and positive interactions.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with preschool-age children.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and family-centered services.

Pay: $21.08 - $25.42 per hour
