Head Preschool Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Head Preschool Teacher to lead our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. You will oversee classroom activities, develop age-appropriate curricula, and collaborate closely with parents and staff to ensure each child's individual needs are met. Your leadership will inspire a love of learning while maintaining high standards of safety, inclusion, and child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and overall childhood development.
• Lead classroom activities that support early intervention strategies and special education needs.
• Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, organization, and positive behavior management.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and childcare staff to foster professional growth and teamwork.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student records.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of child development to tailor instruction and support individual learning styles.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, including classroom management and lesson planning.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education standards, and behavior management techniques.
• Experience developing curricula that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
• Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and mandated reporting laws.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and community partners.
• Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in childhood development or special education are preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team while maintaining a warm, inclusive environment that promotes child welfare and safety.

Pay: $17.25 - $18.50 per hour
