Job Overview

Duties

• Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored to early childhood development standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and active participation among children.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions and a safe learning space.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support children’s educational progress, especially those requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Incorporate Montessori principles or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences where applicable.
• Plan engaging lessons that integrate childcare best practices, including toddler care, preschool activities, and early childhood education techniques.
• Support child welfare by ensuring safety protocols are followed and fostering an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds.
• Utilize effective classroom management skills to maintain order while encouraging independence and confidence among students.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, literacy education, classroom management, and teaching physical education.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in classroom settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices, including early intervention strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content across multiple domains such as literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
• Experience with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and student engagement.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and specialists.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood education.
• Knowledge of special education needs and strategies for working with children requiring additional support.
• Prior experience in private schools or Montessori environments is advantageous.
• Ability to plan lessons effectively while adapting to diverse learner needs.
