What Does a Family Advocate Do?
A family advocate (also called a family services worker) partners with the families of children in an early education program, most often Head Start, helping them set goals and connect with services such as housing, health care, job training and food assistance.
The role carries a caseload of families and works closely with teachers and program managers.
