Primary Responsibilities
As a teacher, you are expected to make meaningful contributions to the children, families, classroom team & overall school community. Your performance will be reviewed periodically across various areas including:

Child Safety & Supervision: Maintain active supervision, follow all licensing, health, and safety standards, ensure proper ratios, and create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
Curriculum & Classroom Excellence: Implement the Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum consistently, maintain an organized classroom, follow daily routines, and support each child’s academic, social, emotional, and character development.
Family Experience & Communication: Build positive relationships with families through professional communication, classroom updates, and consistent partnership with families that strengthens trust and engagement.
Teamwork & School Culture: Collaborate effectively with co-teachers and leadership, demonstrate professionalism, support school needs, accept coaching and demonstrate continuous improvement, and contribute to a positive team environment.
School Operations & Team Support: Support operational responsibilities as reasonably assigned to meet the needs of a growing school such as assisting with school marketing efforts, social media, newsletters, calendars, community outreach, and administrative operations amongst others.
Brand Representation: Serve as an ambassador for Primrose School of Aliana by professionally representing the school through daily interactions with children, families, teammates, community members, and school events, as well as on digital and social media platforms and communications.

This role requires dependability, teamwork, and flexibility to support the needs of children, families, and school. Your schedule may vary based on enrollment, classroom ratios, staffing coverage, training, school events, or operational needs. As the school grows, duties and responsibilities may evolve.

Qualifications

Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood center (Preferred)
Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Passion for nurturing and educating young children
