EXPERIENCED Lead Toddler Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers, fostering their growth across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains. As a leader in the classroom, you will guide a team of educators, implement innovative curricula, and build strong relationships with families to support each child's unique journey. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development tailored specifically for toddlers.
• Lead classroom activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and active learning while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
• Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, potty training support, meal times, nap schedules, and outdoor play to ensure consistency and comfort for children.
• Monitor and assess each child's developmental progress through observations and standardized testing when appropriate; adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's milestones, behaviors, and any concerns; foster collaborative relationships built on transparency and trust.
• Supervise and mentor fellow teachers and staff members; facilitate ongoing professional development in areas such as behavior management, childhood development instruction, special education strategies, and mandated reporting laws.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing regulations, health standards including first aid and CPR certification requirements, and childcare policies to ensure a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings; preschool or daycare experience preferred.
• Strong background in curriculum development with an emphasis on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and behavior management techniques.
• Knowledge of child development principles specific to toddlers; ability to implement age-appropriate activities that support growth across multiple domains.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff members, and community partners.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to lead a team while fostering a positive learning environment.
• Certification in first aid and CPR required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, childhood welfare policies, mandated reporting laws, and standardized testing procedures is highly desirable.

Pay: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour
