As part of Empower LGA, Inc., a well-established human services agency with more than 45 years of service to children, adults, and families throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children while growing professionally in a supportive and collaborative environment.

At Empower, we believe great educators do more than teach — they inspire, nurture, encourage, and help children discover the world around them. If you have a genuine love for working with young children and are looking for a rewarding career with a team that values your contributions, we would love to meet you!

What you'll do

  • Build meaningful, positive relationships with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Observe children's progress and prepare thoughtful child evaluations.
  • Create a welcoming, organized, and well-planned classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, independence, and a love of learning.
  • Co-run the classroom with fellow educators and collaborate as a team to provide a consistent, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
  • Support children's individual interests, talents, and developmental needs.
  • Foster children's growth and development through meaningful learning experiences and positive interactions.
  • Partner with families and colleagues to ensure children receive the support and encouragement they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles and help children develop social, emotional, and life skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that reflects the needs and interests of the children in your care.

What we're looking for

We're looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and nurturing educators who bring a positive, can-do attitude to the classroom each day. The ideal candidate:

  • Has a genuine love of children and a caring, nurturing demeanor.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Is reliable, motivated, and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team, with the ability to confidently co-run a classroom.
  • Is organized, creative, and dedicated to helping children learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
  • Takes pride in contributing to a well-planned, engaging, and enriching early childhood program.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, initiative, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.

Requirements

  • EEC Preschool Teacher Certification required; certification must be provided.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a licensed EEC preschool classroom.
  • Experience planning and implementing curriculum and preparing child evaluations.
