What Does an Early Intervention Specialist Do?
An early intervention specialist works with infants and toddlers, birth to age three, who have developmental delays or disabilities, usually through the state's IDEA Part C program.
Much of the work happens in family homes and childcare settings, coaching parents and caregivers on strategies that fit the child's individualized family service plan (IFSP).
