Duties

• Implement and assist with curriculum development tailored to early childhood development standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating environment that encourages positive behavior and engagement.
• Lead or assist with lesson planning and instructional activities that promote child development instruction across various domains such as cognitive, motor, language, and social-emotional skills.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities like toddler care routines, preschool lessons, and early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones to foster strong home-school connections.
• Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child welfare by promptly reporting any concerns related to child safety or well-being.
• Assist with classroom routines including diapering or potty training, snack time, outdoor play, and nap schedules to support overall childcare needs.
• Support special education initiatives by adapting activities for children with additional needs and implementing individualized plans when necessary.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, private school settings or similar environments is highly valued.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development techniques, and classroom management strategies.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety during all activities.
• Strong communication skills for effective parent communication and teamwork within the educational staff.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential.
• Experience teaching physical education or working with students on standardized testing is a plus.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education and math concepts suitable for young learners.
• Demonstrated commitment to early childhood education principles such as behavior management and early intervention strategies.
