Duties

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional growth
• Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a stimulating and nurturing environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on child progress, address concerns, and foster strong partnerships
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development milestones and incidents
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, special education accommodations, and early intervention strategies
• Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting, with a strong understanding of childhood development principles
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques
• Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention programs, and standardized testing methods for early learners
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is highly valued
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations
• Ability to lead by example with enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine passion for teaching young children
