Early Childhood Teacher | Infant, Toddler & Preschool

The STRAUSS ECE is looking for caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teachers to join our team in central Tucson. We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available in our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms.

We are looking for teachers who genuinely enjoy working with young children and want to be part of a supportive school community. Previous classroom experience is preferred, but we also welcome candidates with experience through babysitting, nannying, camps, recreation programs, education, or other child-centered settings.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating a warm, safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Participating in age-appropriate activities including art, music, movement, books, sensory play, outdoor play, and hands-on learning
• Providing responsive care based on the needs of the children in your classroom
• Assisting with feeding, diapering, toileting, rest, transitions, and daily routines as appropriate for the age group
• Building positive relationships with children and families
• Communicating with parents and caregivers about children's experiences and development
• Working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and enrichment staff
• Maintaining a clean, organized, welcoming, and safe classroom

What we're looking for:

• A genuine love of working with young children
• Dependability, patience, warmth, and a positive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Interest in child development and play-based learning
• Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with young children preferred
• Infant and toddler experience especially encouraged
• Early childhood education coursework, CDA, associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or related education preferred, but not required for all positions
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification
• Ability to meet Arizona childcare licensing requirements
• Ability to get up and down from the floor, remain active throughout the day, and lift up to 35 pounds
