Early Childhood Teacher; Full-Time Preschool Teacher

Qualifications:

• Education: At minimum, a High school diploma or GED. Associate or Bachelor degrees in related fields preferred
• Previous experience working with young children. Lead teaching experience preferred
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing child care
• Participate in necessary background checks and trainings
• Ability to meet physical demands of caring for young children

Responsibilities:

• Implement an overall curriculum for the classroom
• From the curriculum, implement units of study that include daily lessons
• Plan and create activities to reinforce the lessons
• Communicate with center leadership and with parents to meet each child’s cognitive, emotional, physical and social needs
• Work closely with assistants and volunteers to create a safe and engaging learning environment
• Maintain records of the progress made by children and report this information to parents every 6 months
• Develop a plan with the director for professional growth and development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
