Early Childhood Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curricula that promote the holistic development of children, from toddlers to preschool age.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports children's emotional, social, and cognitive development.
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Foster literacy education through interactive reading activities and phonics instruction.
• Incorporate math concepts into daily activities to enhance children's problem-solving skills.
• Provide individualized support for children with special needs through early intervention strategies.
• Engage in regular communication with parents regarding their child's progress and development.
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve curriculum development.
• Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness to ensure a conducive learning environment.

Qualifications

Education

o High School Diploma or Equivalent

o CDA (Child Development Associate Credential)

o Associate in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field with 18 hours in Early Childhood Education.

Work Experience

o Six (6) months in a licensed childcare facility or in a public/private school or early childhood facility or has completed an early childhood degree program where practicum(s) were required.

Additional Skills

· CPR and First Aid Training.

· Must be computer literate, and have proficient working knowledge of assigned databases, software, and systems.

· Must have interpersonal and teambuilding skills.

· Spanish fluency helpful but not required.

· Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

· Strong verbal and written communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.

· Must have dependable transportation daily, valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, current auto liability insurance.

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
