Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills aligned with early childhood education standards
• Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that stimulate curiosity and support individual learning styles
• Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for toddlers and preschool-aged children
• Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, respect, and independence among children
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress, milestones, and any concerns to build strong partnerships
• Support children with special needs through tailored interventions and collaboration with specialists in early intervention and special education
• Maintain accurate documentation of child development progress, attendance records, and compliance with mandated reporting laws

Requirements

• Proven experience working with young children in classroom or daycare settings
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and curriculum development techniques
• Familiarity with classroom management practices and behavior management strategies
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or Montessori teaching are a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning
• Experience with classroom experience including toddler care, preschool teaching, or daycare experience is highly valued
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations
